Dear Future Student,

Thank you for your contact with our school and here we will give some  orientation for the reception of foreign students for our exclusive Course of credit exchange for Berklee, (International College Souza Lima & Berklee). 

The future student must have finished the secondary school and must apply for the admission test or send a musical resumé, CD, tape or video tape, for our approval, besides the student must have knowledge about theory and perception.

The important point for the future student is to have the necessary musical level to follow the classes, we are holding good musicians and with high level of training for those who wishes to conclude their future studies at Berklee.

Necessary Documents:

• Copy of the passport, notorized copy
• One year student Visa, notorized copy with original
• 2 photos 3/4,
• School Documents (School Grade and Diploma of Course)
• All documents consularized by the country of origin,
• Musical Resumé,
• Receipt of delivery of documents at Secretary of Education of Sao Paulo. (we will brief you about this when you apply)

As regards the student Visa, what guarantees the same is our Technical Course of Music, authorized by the Decree 114-79, published by the Brazilian Official Newspaper on 18 Jun, 1979, and recognized by the Secretary of Education of Sao Paulo, as the international college is not recognized for Visa purposes in Brazil. It is only recognized by and for Berklee College of Music and that is our unique objective.
 
Payment is proceeded yearly.

The request for visa will be made through the filling of a application form that is available in the website, which should be sent to us along with Resumé, CD, tape or video tape recorded by the applicant for analysis of the skills of the student. Once the applicant has the proven his musical level as desired, he will be able to be exempted from the selective trial and then we will send a call letter to him immediately.

For your best convenience, we will agree to receive the payment after the student Visa is granted for the student to enjoy the classes.

The annual price for the next semester should be confirmed by the email faculdade@souzalima.com.br. It includes 12 monthly payments, registers, follow up of the coordination for foreigners, follow up of Education Supervision advisory, and at the Secretary of Education of the State of Sao Paulo, for validation of the documentation of the student, as it is necessary to enable the student to receive the Diploma of Technician in Music, equal to secondary degree diploma. 

The Course has the duration of 2 years, i.e. 24 months, according to the school calendar.

Our semesters start in February and August every year.

If the future student come to visit or study at our school, we will be able to give him a preparatory course to give him some musical orientation and prepare the necessary documentation. 

As regards hostel, there is a third company contracted by us and they can arrange accommodations on average cost of US$ 100 to US$ 500, according to the possibilities and choice of the future student. 

We will keep on office of our school at your disposal to take you to the accomodation of your choice.

As far meals are concerned, nowadays you can have good meals in Brazil on average price of U$ 3 to U$ 10 per person.
