Rodolfo Víctor Alfaro Castro

Peruvian musician with more than 35 years of experience, 20 of tem dedicated to teach and graduate new musicians with forefront mentality. With studies in Physic-Mathematics Science (Universidad Mayor de San Marcos - Peru), allows him to present music topics with a geometric language, precise and clearly, peculiar of the contemporary mathematics. This new pedagogycal focus causes a quick and correct assimilation of difuse musical concepts, providing a general and entirety vision of music as Science-Art. Result: his students get a solid basic formation that allows a development to face professional and academic challenges with comparative advantage.

Preparatory Course in Bolivia

PROFESSIONAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC "MILAN":

RELEASE:
The Professional Coservatory of Music Milan was born with its basis in the “Academy of Guitar Milan” (October/ 4th of 1987) under direction of Don David Milán, a well-known guitar player associated to his daughter Sara Milán, they worked hard to enlarge the cultural scene of Cochabamba and all Bolivia, graduating first level classic guitar players; nowadays, 7 of this guitar players are in European Conservatories taking to the top Bolivia’s name.

 

Because of the actual technology “Academy of Guitar Milan”, in August/ 7th of 1996 opened its doors to entire Bolivia specially Cochabamba people, with a new vision, serious, dynamics, responsible and in a scientific way, accepting all this new deep changes, overpassing national limits, amplifying skylines, becoming: Professional Conservatory of Music Milan with R:M: Nro 041/01, under direction of Mrs. Sara Milán Barrón; this Institution is, at present time, the first conservatory with this characteristics and the only one that approves, in a national level, the denomination of Music Technician.

PURPOSE:
The main purpose of the conservatory is the “professional excellence in music”, presenting to students some subjects like:

 

• Musical theory
• Pedagogycal theory
• Practice theory
• Complemental piano and a specific instrument: from accordion to piano
• (To Superior Technician in musical education)
• A specific instrument and complemental piano
• (To instrumentists)

INSTRUMENTS:
The conservatory counts with 3 departments:
Classical Music Department (Erudite) piano, guitar, violin, cello, bass, brass and woodwind instruments, etc.
Folklore Department (Etnomusicology) guitar, flourish, mandolim, accordion.
Modern Music Department (Electronic Instruments) electric guitar, electric bass, keyboard, drums.

SARAH MILÁN:

Graduated in Music and Classical Learning at Institute Laredo. Began playing piano and cello. In 1965 studied classic guitar with her first teacher Don David Milán.
In 1979 made improvement courses with Spanish Maestro Pedro Garcia; Erick Foster, from California, contributed a lot in her development, and played some concerts as a “duo”. In Virginia (USA) played with Dave Slater, Lisa Hurlong, Christopher Laugling, Belgian Sylvie Genovése, German Huscky Heikelman, Japanese Kentaro Takada and Katzu Toyo Ito, Cuban maestros Jesús Ortega and Gerardo Pérez, Bolivian Günther Vilarm Pirai Vacam Luís Valdez, Fernando Arduz and Humberto Pol.
Sarah performed several concerts as solist, in “duo” and “trio” together with her father and other famous guitarists, like Fabricio Gallegos, Nacer Becerra, etc.
 

Acted as Coordinator of classic guitar in Institute Laredo, at Anglo American school and at “Man Cesped” Academy.
Sarah founded the Academy of Guitar “Milan” together with her father Don David Milán and in August/ 7th of 1996, created the Professional Music Coservatory “Milán”, in Cochabamba, and since then, she’s acting as General Director.
